Welcome to the first ‘Fall’ edition of the St. Marys Golf eNewsletter. What a summer it was at the course! In fact, we recap some of the great summer highlights and events in our St. Marys Golf Blog; be sure to check it out.

SDRAWKCAB [BACKWARDS] SCRAMBLE
This unique event highlights our fall season golf events.
The most critically acclaimed, fun, ‘wacky’ event of the year takes place on October 16th at the St. Marys Golf Club. Golf Fitness Academy:
Over the Top
When your upper body dominates the golf swing
This week we continue to look at the downswing and another common swing fault amongst high handicappers – Over-the-Top.
Over-the-Top occurs on the downswing when the golf club is above or outside the intended swing plane. A typical miss-hit for a right handed golfer is a pull to the left if the clubface is square or a slice to the right if the clubface is open.

Top 100 Canadian Golf Courses
Learn about Canada's premier golf courses.
The bi-annual report on Canada’s top golf courses is finally out! Amazingly, five of the top ten courses are right here in Ontario (with three Ontario courses taking the top three spots!). Ranking number nine is four year-old course Muskoka Bay Club, which we profiled in our Blog on Ontario’s Must Play Golf Courses earlier in the summer! Congratulations to all the courses in the Top 100. Who knows, with the changes to Hole 17, maybe we will grace the top 100 someday!?
